Aims
The Fareham Society, established in 1976, is the Borough Civic Society and is concerned with the quality of life within the borough. It aims to encourage the interest of Fareham people in their borough as a whole and to ensure the conservation of valuable features of our environment – both man-made and natural. It helps to achieve new facilities and to work for high standards in our planning and architecture.

- The monthly meetings of The Society's ten-member committee;
- a programme of illustrated lectures covering a wide variety of environmental and historical subjects;
- summer visits and outings;

- an on-going photographic project of the changing face of the borough;
- the organisation of practical conservation projects;
- liaising with local and national societies holding complementary aims;
